The Qinghai Weide Biotechnology Co., Ltd.("the Co***ny") was established in October,2002.It is located at No. 10, Jingsi Road in the Bioindustry Park, Xining City, Qinghai Province.The registered capital of the Co***ny is RMB56.5 million.It covers an area of 53,000 square meters ( 80 Mu, 1 hectare=15 mu ) with 60,000 square meters of building floor***ce.The Co***ny mainly engages in promoting cultivation of Jerusalem artichoke ( Helianthus tuberosus,also known as sunchoke, sunroot) and chicory root (Cichorium intybus var. sativum) and using them as raw materials to produce inulin, fructooligosaccharide,polyfructose,fructose syrup and other fructan products.The co***ny was reconized as the leading enterprise in Xining City and classified as "high-tech enterprise" in Qinghai Province. It has obtained certifications including HACCP, ISO9001 and organic farming and production.
The co***ny's production technology is patent protected in China and its products have enjoyed a strong brand in the market and exported to Europe, Japan, the United States, South Korea and some other countries.Since the management reorganization in 2011, the Co***ny has made significant improvement in raw materials supply,production technology, process and production management and product quality control.Current cultivationarea for Jerusalem artichoke and chicory root is 5000 mu and the Co***ny has contracted additional 10,000 mu raw material supply with local farmers. Production of 2012 is expected to reach over 2000 tons of inulin in addition to oligofructose and fructose syrup. In 2013, the co***ny will begin to build a new production line with designed annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of inulin.
